UI/UX Case Study
Along with my teammates, we created an app called “FoodCulture” that allows you to search for specific food locations with accurate reviews.
There was a trend of individuals willing to try new foods who also enjoy researching places to eat before choosing a specific spot.
Through usability testing our review system was made to have all five stars showing, even if they are not filled. Added full five star system to let users know of rating limit. Not only will this avoid confusion, but also it will make the review page look more more consistent.
Collaboration: This is the very first case study where we work in a group. Since we have only done individual projects, it was a learning experience to brainstorm, split work, and provide feedback amongst each other. We all live in different time zones with a three hour difference, so it was challenging at times to meet up and discuss work. Through this experience, we learned how to efficiently collaborate with each other.
Designing Features: Throughout this case study, we had many ideas of what features to add to our mobile app. Although it was exciting to come up with more features, it would sometimes leave us feeling a little overwhelmed, especially during the prototyping stage. We learned how to prioritize features that would help us solve our problem statement.
Iteration Opportunities: We received many valuable feedback from our users during testing. It was challenging to narrow down all these significant findings and figure out how to efficiently iterate our prototype. Through this experience, we learned what additional features to add to our app based on user findings.
